Father's day

It’s father’s day tomorrow and it’s the one day dedicated to appreciating the incredible men in our lives. It usually falls on the third Sunday in June. However, because men aren’t so complicated, it’s difficult to treat them to a special day. I mean, how can not complicated be so difficult to spoil. I asked a guy what would make his day perfect and his request was simple. It turns out food is really important in a man’s life. I mean on mother’s day, you can get her a perfume or jewelry set etc and she then treats you to a good meal. But fathers ehn… Thank God for mothers (yes, mothers still take the glory on father’s day)

Anyway, so to make this father’s day memorable, here are some ideas we at mosterly think could work:

1. Treat him to a nice dinner: You don’t have to break the bank to pull this off
2. Send him a video: If you (and perhaps your siblings) are away from him, you could all do a video compilation saying nice things about him
3. Make breakfast extra special: You could even serve it in bed (although I think that’s for baby daddys)
4. Get him a nice gadget: Phone, Tab, Cameras, Xbox etc. Men are gadget lovers
5. Take him to lunch: Still don’t have to break the bank, you could also cook.
6. Give him some social media love
7. Food: it’s never too much ..lol
8. My dad loves shoes, I don’t know about yours. I think it’s also a thoughtful gift
9. Sneakers: Have you been asking him to work out and he hasn’t been listening? You can get him a pair of sneakers, that should help make him start
10. Power bank: I saw this on bellanaija and I thought “why didn’t I think about this” as well
11. His favorite drink: What does he like to drink? Wine, whiskey, scotch, champagne, grape juice etc. Let him drink and be merry
12. Gift of health: Many of our dads, 50 and above are not as healthy as we would like, take your time to look into how to improve your dad’s health if you feel your dad falls in this category
13. Write him a check (cheque) or make a transfer with some nice figures
14. Married people, play the father of your kids some ‘TLC’
15. Tell him you love him
