Three Wheels to Startup

THE THREE WHEELS THAT START UP A BUSINESS
Fact: Not all startups have been successful, not all startups will be successful. In fact, 9 out of 10 startups fail. This is because a person rarely possesses all three qualities required to set a business in motion. Let’s take a look at these three wheels.

WILL

The willingness to do something no matter the circumstance, no matter the consequence, is important in startups. A person’s willingness if often inspired by some sort of motivation. In a company, a worker’s motivation is the salary and bonuses. For some entrepreneurs, it is often the thought of having a sense of personal achievement that motivates them to get things done. For others, it is financial stability.

There will always be challenges in any business, especially for a startup but an entrepreneur has to be willing to face the problems by identifying them and finding a way to work around the problem.

No matter the circumstance, when there is a will, there is a way.

DISCIPLINE
In starting a business, one must be disciplined. Consistency in business dealings is very important. There must be a goal and a plan which must be followed in order to achieve that goal. Identifying the goals and making plans is easy, the hard part for most people is executing the plan.

Discipline does not come naturally. To be disciplined, one has to decide to be disciplined. However, the decision is a difficult one for several reasons

Doubt or fear of failure
One thing common to most entrepreneurs is doubt. Is this a good idea? Would it work? Do I have the money? The connection? There are many questions the entrepreneur struggles with when starting a business. Doubt is one of the things that prevents a person from getting things done at the right time. You wonder is it really worth it? And then you find that you are stalling. The doubt is natural and one has to overcome it in order to move forward.

Procrastination
There is a tendency for people to feel that later is always the right time to do something. Procrastination is real and quite common. We tend to occupy ourselves with less important things when we should be doing. The solution to this is to “Just Do It”. It may help to have a daily schedule of all your activities.

Laziness
Sometimes the reason a person is not doing what he should be doing is because he is just plain lazy. When you just don’t want to get out of bed, you’re being lazy.

AMBITION
Ambition is the strong desire to achieve success. To be ambitious, all you need is to think about what you can achieve. It is the easiest of the three wheels as you can aspire and dream to be whatever you want to be. However, a dream without action would never manifest and become a reality.
